Workshop 26 november 2019 Vienna

Workshop to be held from 11 - 17.30 at the offices of Kapsch Traffic, AmEuroplatz 2, Vienna.
Optional visit to the Kapsch Museum  (opposite the venue) from 10-11.

This Workshop - organized by PIB 'Erfolgsformeln Verbinden', Business Upper Austria/Automobil-Cluster OÖ and Standortagentur Tirol - aims at founding ‘Zero-e, from A to B’, a proposed 5-year (2020-2025) international programme of cooperation, designed to develop and implement practical international intermodal zero-emission long-distance transport projects, based on the actual ambitions of participants.

There are many hopeful technical developments around zero-emission transport, but how to put them to good use?
The governments of Austria and The Netherlands promote both multimodality and zero-emission in transport, but how to implement these policies?

We feel that now is the time to really act in a cooperative international alliance of companies such as transporters, shippers and OEMs ;trade associations ; governments and knowledge institutes. In line with the ‘activist’ character of our proposed programme Zero-e, from A to B, during the workshop we propose to work on actual project canvases. Thus, by the end of the workshop we will have the outlines for a handful of feasible projects we can take on in the coming years (supported by European and national subsidies).

What we aim for with this workshop is threefold:
o share, and learn from, insights about what works and what does not;
o identify possible projects that contribute to building a zero-emission transport corridor between Austria and the Netherlands;
o start building a consortium of parties who want to cooperate on such projects.

Our aim is to invite stakeholders who are interested in and dealing with "Zero-e Goods Transport" topics and who will contribute their ideas to this workshop - e.g. end users (of transport and logistics services), technology providers, logistic service providers, road and telco-infrastructure operators, funding organizsations and (regional) government etc.

At the end of the workshop we intend to hand out a Letter of Intent, to be signed after the workshop by those who want to join Zero-e, from A to B.

We look forward to your registration and to meeting you in Vienna on the 26th of November.

Important notice:
The workshop can accommodate max. 50 participants (20 pax from Netherland and 30 pax from Austria) - registration is mandatory and confirmations of registration are considered on a first-come-first-served basis.
